What do Tom Brady and I have in common?

Well, while I may not have seven Super Bowl rings, we do share one key trait: a daily drive to be better than we were yesterday. It's a huge motivator for me and shapes how I approach life.
One way I apply this is by asking participants at the end of every session I deliver for three things:
• One thing they’ve learned
• One thing they’ll do differently 'tomorrow'
• And one piece of advice for me.
Why ask for advice instead of feedback? I picked up this idea from a great podcast with Adam Grant. Research shows that feedback can be vague and not all that helpful, whereas advice is forward-looking and focuses on actionable improvements.
Recently, I saw the power of this in action.
After a recent session with Benenden Hospital a participant suggested I introduce 'focus aids' like stress balls and fidget spinners to help people stay engaged. I took that advice and applied it in my Leadership Development session at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London this week —and it made a real impact.
Participants loved it, with a number referring to the role my latest additions played when describing the session as "fun-filled," "engaging," and "inspiring."

It’s moments like these that remind me why staying open to advice and constantly evolving makes all the difference. What’s one piece of advice that’s helped you improve recently?
